And Jesus answering, spoke again in parables to them, saying: The kingdom of heaven is likened to a king, who made a marriage for his son. And he sent his servants, to call them that were invited to the marriage; and they would not come. Again he sent other servants, saying: Tell them that were invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my calves and fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come ye to the marriage. But they neglected, and went their own ways, one to his farm, and another to his merchandise.
And the rest laid hands on his servants, and having treated them contumeliously, put them to death. But when the king had heard of it, he was angry, and sending his armies, he destroyed those murderers, and burnt their city. Then he saith to his servants: The marriage indeed is ready; but they that were invited were not worthy. Go ye therefore into the highways; and as many as you shall find, call to the marriage. And his servants going forth into the ways, gathered together all that they found, both bad and good: and the marriage was filled with guests.
And the king went in to see the guests: and he saw there a man who had not on a wedding garment. And he saith to him: Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? But he was silent. Then the king said to the waiters: Bind his hands and feet, and cast him into the exterior darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For many are called, but few are chosen. (St. Matthew 22:1-14)
Our Lord told us many times, in very few words, how to get to Heaven. It is an amazing characteristic of the Gospel. Let's analyze the above passage for a minute.
How can we be reasonably sure of our place in Heaven?
After Adam and Eve committed Original Sin the gates of Heaven were slammed shut to Humanity. We lost all of the Sanctifying Grace in our souls that God gave us automatically upon Creation. Because humans now were tarred with sin, and without sanctifying Grace, we could not enter Heaven.
God's justice and wisdom put the souls of the righteous - either Jews who observed the Old Law in a just way or Gentiles who pleased Him by living a life of righteousness according to the natural law imprinted in the souls of every person - in limbo after death until Christ's resurrection. Everyone else went to Hell.
The Old Law could not get anyone to Heaven because the Old Law did not infuse Grace into our souls. It merely mitigated the offence of some sin by the sacrifices of animals but it could not reconcile us with our Creator. The sacrifices of animals were not powerful enough to make up for the amount that we estranged ourselves from God. It was only enough to mitigate God's anger for some righteous people to not experience the pains of Hell upon death but it could not bestow Heaven. Remember, God is spotless and without blemish. We can not enter Heaven unless our souls are spotless and without blemish, in the same way that Humanity was created before The Fall.
Christ's birth, life, death and resurrection threw open the gates of Heaven again because Christ offered Himself, His blameless self, in the place of sinners who deserve nothing but death. God accepted this sacrifice to atone for all of the sins that had been committed in the past and that would be committed in the future.
Christ's death and resurrection did not automatically re-infuse Grace back into our souls. We have to acquire that ourselves, for free from God, by accepting the gift by our own free will. In order to be privy to these blessings we need a wedding garment.
In this parable, of Heaven and of Judgement, the wedding garment refers to whether or not a person has sanctifying grace in their souls upon Judgement.
If you have any Sanctifying Grace in your soul upon death you will eventually make it to Heaven. There is no question about it.
Humans have no Sanctifying Grace upon birth, because of Original Sin.That is why children who die without being baptized enter into limbo, a place of natural happiness where no one can see God, and not Heaven.
Original Sin, like all Mortal Sin, destroys the Sanctifying Grace in our souls. It destroys our wedding garment and makes Humanity unfit for Eternal Life.
Christ's work on Earth - His Gospel - was dedicated to giving Humanity highly visible, highly tangible streams of Grace that we could ALWAYS rely on without fail.
They are the Sacraments. Baptism. Eucharist. Confirmation. Reconciliation. Anointing of the sick. Marriage. Holy orders.
If you died after receiving any Sacrament in a worthy manner you will absolutely go to Heaven. That is God's promise to Humanity. It is what Christ's life was dedicated to establishing and the glory of his death and resurrection.
When you see someone baptized you should be picturing a priest physically inputting grace into a soul for the first time. When someone makes a good confession the priest, in the absolution, removes all of the mortal sin from a person's soul and physically inputs our wedding garment. When you are receiving the Eucharist in a worthy manner you are physically receiving Grace - the Body and Blood of God - into your soul. When a person gets confirmed, or receives the last rites, or gets married, or is ordained with Holy Orders, they are physically receiving Sanctifying Grace into their souls.
The more Grace in your soul, the stronger your connection to God, the more fruits you will produce, the more you can resist sin.
Mortal sin will destroy the Sanctifying Grace in our souls and the Gates of Heaven are shut until we reconcile ourselves with a Sacrament received in a worthy way and re-infuse our souls with Grace. That is usually confession but can be Anointing of the Sick for the dying. Additionally, a baptized person can make a perfect Act of Contrition before death, like the good thief did, but unlike the Sacraments, there is no formal process that gives peace of mind and certainty to the believer that grace has been deceived. It is a tricky thing to do correctly.
Other Churches outside of the Catholic Church (most of the time, and apart from the Orthodox) only provide one sacrament, one way to get Sanctifying Grace into your soul: Baptism.
The Catholic Church provides seven. Don't take your chances.
Make sure that you die with your wedding garment. Do not let everything going on in the world confuse or shake you. Do everything that you can to make sure that you die with Sanctifying Grace in your soul. Nothing else truly matters.

And the angel being come in, said unto her: Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. (St. Luke 1:28)
I have recorded myself praying the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary. I have separated it into five decades - the Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries. It is in English - sorry, no Latin.
The recordings clock in at 14:10 minutes each. I recorded at this speed to help those who wish to pray the Rosary but need to do so in a more compressed time period. You can listen to it while driving, doing the laundry, before falling asleep. What matters is that praying the Rosary straightens your relationship with God. Hopefully this aid helps to that end.

The founding myth of Europe, or Europa, in its pre-Christian days was of a beautiful woman who was forcibly kidnapped by Zeus, the pagan god, in bull form. The bull is interchangeably referred to as a beast in pre-Christian literature. After being forcibly kidnapped, the woman is seduced by the bull, who represents the power of the whole pantheon of pagan gods. Willing submitting herself to the power of the pagan gods, she marries the bull and derives strength and riches from the spiritual force that she has wedded herself to.
St. John used the same symbol - a woman riding a scarlet beast - because to readers in the ancient world it would be clear that he was talking about Europe. St. John tells us that the Beast (paganism that dominates Europe) "was" (because Europe was pagan before Christ), "and is not" (because Europe will become Christian), "and shall come up out of the bottomless pit, and go into destruction" (because Europe will become pagan once again.)
Does this sound familiar?
St. John was telling us that Europe - who was pagan and became Christian - would apostatize in the last days and become pagan again. Except this time the beast that dominates Europe came "out of the bottomless pit" (hell) and "will go into destruction."
St. John calls Europe a "whore" because she has cheated on Christ - the force that made Europe strong, powerful, faithful, the "fairest part of Earth" - with paganism once again. That is why St. John uses the imagery of the "whore" throughout chapter 17.
Europe became powerful because the "blood of the saints" fought for Europe (protected it from pagans and Muslims), educated Europe (in the days after the Roman Empire collapsed it was Catholic monks throughout Europe that kept literacy and law alive and opened up the first institutions that eventually became schools) - and protected Europe spiritually from evil for the entirety of Christendom.
After God did all of this for Europe, after God rescued it from paganism and protected it from all foreign attackers and from the power of the devil, it has collectively chosen to submit itself to the scarlet beast from hell that is "full of names of blasphemy." That is why Europe is a "whore", who seeks to corrupt the rest of the world with her "whoredom."
Recall what Christ said about towns that saw miracles and had experienced God's great power and still rejected Him:
Woe to thee, Corozain, woe to thee, Bethsaida: for if in Tyre and Sidon had been wrought the miracles that have been wrought in you, they had long ago done penance in sackcloth and ashes. But I say unto you, it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment, than for you. And thou Capharnaum, shalt thou be exalted up to heaven? thou shalt go down even unto hell. For if in Sodom had been wrought the miracles that have been wrought in thee, perhaps it had remained unto this day. But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee. (St. Matthew 11:21-24)
Europe is the "mother of fornications" because every ideology that dominates in our secular age - freemasonry, secularism, atheism, materialism, socialism, communism, feminism - began there and spread throughout the world, as St. John says, and the world "became drunk with the wine of her whoredom." Europe has chosen to wed itself to ideologies that are straight from hell. St. John makes it clear that this beast - scarlet in colour, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns - is the devil incarnate.
Because Europe apostatized first - Europe started becoming extremely secular before North America, Latin America, Africa, Asia all of which are becoming secular following its lead - and used its great power to corrupt the world, it is in for special judgement. That is what St. John is describing in chapters 17, 18 and 19.
Don't believe me? Can you imagine that after all that God did for Europe, which I outlined above, after God made Europe the home of His Church, the European Union did this:
And, to shake their fist at God, they deliberately built the European parliament to look like this:
And put a woman riding a beast, Europe wedding itself to the devil, outside of their
parliament and on their money:
Or, as St. John says, "And he said to me: The waters which thou sawest, where the harlot sitteth, are peoples, and nations, and tongues" (Europe sits on many peoples, nations, and tongues a prescient description of the European Union.)
The last quarter of Chapter 17 and the first half of Chapter 18 describe what happens to Europe:
Europe may have decided to submit to the Devil, but the "beast" hates the Whore (Europe) and "burns her flesh with fire" (all of the wars of the 20th century.) This makes sense as Europe was the home of the Church for millennia and the home of millions of saints that spread the faith throughout the whole world. Even if Europe has decided to worship evil the Devil still hates it.
The next chapter - chapter 18 - after St. John expertly and clearly summarizes the return of Europe to paganism, details something frightening:
God tells His people, the faithful Christians that remain, to get out of Europe:
"And I heard another voice from heaven, saying: Go out from her, my people; that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and the Lord hath remembered her iniquities." (18:4-6)
God is telling His faithful that if we stay within Europe we may partake in her sins (the "European way of life" that has rejected God) and might suffer along her plagues.
Now please read this....
"As much as she hath glorified herself, and lived in delicacies, so much torment and sorrow give ye to her; because she saith in her heart: I sit a queen, and am no widow; and sorrow I shall not see. Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine, and she shall be burnt with the fire; because God is strong, who shall judge her." (18:7-8)
God is going to destroy pagan Europe with fire.
I am absolutely certain of this.
This chapter has often been interpreted to mean the destruction of Rome but that is mixing up two separate events. The first event is the destruction of mainland Europe by fire. Perhaps that is why the Bishop in White is seen bleeding, in pain, going up a large hill in the partially released Third Secret of Fatima? The second event is the earthquake that destroys pagan Rome.
And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
This is not something to be sad about for the believer: Europe has been the source of every poisonous ideology that has spread among the world. The Europe that we love, that my parents came from, that created Christendom, is dead. It doesn't exist anymore. Only pagan Europe exists now. Chapter 19 tells us that heaven celebrates when Pagan Europe is destroyed:
After these things I heard as it were the voice of much people in heaven, saying: Alleluia. Salvation, and glory, and power is to our God. For true and just are his judgments, who hath judged the great harlot which corrupted the earth with her fornication, and hath revenged the blood of his servants, at her hands. And again they said: Alleluia. And her smoke ascendeth for ever and ever. And the four and twenty ancients, and the four living creatures fell down and adored God that sitteth upon the throne, saying: Amen; Alleluia. And a voice came out from the throne, saying: Give praise to our God, all ye his servants; and you that fear him, little and great. (19:1-6)
I expect after the destruction of the European mainland, and the European Church, and the Beast that gives pagan Europe its power, for the Catholic faith to purify itself: "Let us be glad and rejoice, and give glory to him; for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath prepared herself."
